Obituary of John Christie

CHRISTIE, John Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Tufford Nursing Home, on Friday, November 27th at the age of 86. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years Ella (2013). Loyal and devoted father of Gordon (Melody), Russell (Lynn) and Stuart (Sabina), and wonderful "Granpa" of Johnathon and Jaymie. John was a longtime employee of General Motors, where he worked as a Machine Repairman for 30 years. He actively enjoyed golf, bowling and was a faithful Maple Leafs and Blue Jay fan. John was also an avid Dundee United football fan. The family extends sincere thanks to Tufford Nursing Home for their compassion and kindness. John's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Sunday, November 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 30th in the funeral home chapel at 11:30am. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
