Obituary of Robert Dalke

DALKE, Robert It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Dalke on Sunday, May 17th, 2015 in his 80th year. He was the beloved husband of Eva (nee Gnass) of 47 years. Devoted and cherished father of Doris (Rev David) Milette, of Moncton, New Brunswick and Karen (Rev David) Gallas, of New Hamburg, Ontario. He was the treasured Opa of Juliana, Tobias, Nicholas, Justin, Emmelia Gallas, and Rachel, Gabriel, and Isabel Milette. Also survived by his sisters Irene (Alfred) Isaak, Ursula (the late Max) Kocher, of Saskatoon, Milli (Rudolf) Furrer and Maria (Willy) Furrer, of Calgary; brothers Engard, of Calgary, and Erhard, of Nanaimo; sister-in-law Ursula Gnass, of Oakville. Besides his parents Gustav and Maria Dalke, he was preceded in death by his brother Theodor (Hilda) Dalke in 1983 and his brothers-in-law Walter and Bruno Gnass. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday, May 21 from 7-9 p.m. and at Grace Lutheran Church, 213 Linwell Road, St. Catharines on Friday, May 22 from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral service for Mr. Dalke will follow at 11 a.m. Interment to take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
