Obituary of Iolanda Cirone

CIRONE, Iolanda It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iolanda (nee Biscotti). She died peacefully with her family by her side at the NHS- St. Catharines Site, Saturday, May 16, 2015. The youngest of 11 children, she was born October 19, 1937 in Italy to Giuditta and Benedetto Biscotti. She married her husband of 60 years, Giuseppe Cirone on May 29, 1955. Together they moved to Canada with their family in 1968. Loving Mother to Giuliano (Carmelita), Dominic (Antoinette), Rocco (Marina), Benito (Patricia), Gianni (Veronica), and Giorgio (Tina). Nonna to Mindy (Jason), Amy (Brian), Carlye (James), Catharine, Joe, Ali, Kelsey, Daniel, Joseph, Brianne (Wayne), Michael (Jessi), Shawn, Jonathan (Beth), Nathan, Samantha and Emily. Biz-Nonna to Madison, Joshua, Hannah, Giuliana, Riley, Scarlett, Isabella, Graeme and two en-route. We would like to thank the staff at the hospital for their care and compassion in our time of need. Iolanda's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday, May 20, from 1- 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with Vigil Prayers recited in the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the NHS- St. Catharines Site or to the charity of your choice.
