Obituary of Walter Luciw

LUCIW, Walter - Passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at his residence in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Jean for 62 years. Cherished father of Christine (Ross) Luciw-Davidson and Mark (Melanie) Luciw. Loving Dido of Nicholas Luciw and Sarah Luciw. Special uncle of Debbie Symonds and her children Kyle and Evan. Walter was a long time member of the Ukrainian National Federation and was on the board of directors in the 1970's for the St. Catharines Ukrainian Credit Union. He has been a long standing parishioner of St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday, April 26th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Panachyda will take place on Sunday at 7:30p.m. in the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, April 27th at St. John the Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church, 91 Lakeshore Road, St. Catharines at 10a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
