Obituary of Georgetta Lillian Hastings

HASTINGS, Georgetta (formerly Greenhalgh) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the St. Catharines Hospital on Tuesday, April 21st at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husbands George Greenhalgh (1988) and Gord Hastings (2014) and granddaughter Jodi Hatt (1980). Cherished mother of Terry (Christine), Larry (Debbie), Dave (Gail), Tom (Darlene), Bill (Cathy) and Debby Greenhalgh, Marilyn (Glyn) Rothwell and Jan (the late Jim) Hatt. Gramma will be forever missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by her sister Marie and her many nieces and nephews. She took great enjoyment in watching her grandchildren play sports. Georgetta's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, April 23rd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, April 24th in the funeral home chapel at 9:30am. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place after the service. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
