Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Lucin

LUCIN, Anthony "Tony" Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16th, 2014 at the St. Catharines Hospital, one month after the passing of his beloved wife of 68 years, Catherine (Oct. 7, 2014). Loving father of Carole (Jim) Price, Janet (the late Robert) Malcomson, Douglas (Karen), Margaret (Les) Mitro and Ken (Candace). Proud grandpa of Carrie (Geoff) MacGillivray, Melanie (Andrew) Santorelli, Kevin (Trish) Lucin, Michael (Cindy) Mitro, Kurt (Robin) Lucin and Amanda (Dave Leaver) Mitro. Special GG of Holly and Sarah MacGillivray and Madeline Santorelli. Predeceased by his mother Mary Ann Lucin, his brother Edward and sister Helen Stuebing. Survived by many nieces, nephews and members of the Mussar family in Kitchener-Waterloo. Tony will also be fondly remembered by Mary and Terry White and family. Tony was a World War II Naval Veteran, serving on the HMCS Red Deer and a proud member of the Port Dalhousie Legion, Branch #350. He retired from TRW after 39 years of employment and was active in the TP Old Guard Association. Special thanks to CCAC, St. Elizabeth's Health Care, Dr. M. Greenway, Dr. E. Minkarious and the medical staff at the St. Catharines Hospital for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, November 21st from 7-9 p.m. A Catholic Liturgy will take place on Saturday, November 22nd at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall. Rite of Committal to take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Monday, November 24th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to One Foundation - St. Catharines Hospital Site would be appreciated.
