Obituary of Annette Marie Foley

FOLEY, Annette Marie (nee Pigeon) It is with great sorrow that the family of Annette Foley announces her sudden but peaceful death at the NHS - St. Catharines Site with her loving family by her side, on September 11, 2014, in her 80th year. Annette was predeceased by her beloved husband and friend, Mike. Mom leaves behind her devoted children, Karen Moriello (Frank), and Kevin (Dana). Also mourning her death is her loving sister, Rita Birney; and her grandchildren Frankie (Ashley), Michael, Cameron, and Alexandria. Annette is survived by sister in law, Sheila Pigeon; and brother in law, Terry (Maryann) Foley. She will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Amie and Agnes Pigeon and her in-laws, Jeremiah and Geraldine Foley. Also predeceased by brothers and sisters in law, Omer and Blanche Pigeon, Simone and Morris Abrams, Yvonne and Laurence Sweeney, Armand Pigeon, Clarence Birney and Mary Foley. Annette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. In the past, Annette enjoyed managing Avondale store # 55 in Thorold and had an earlier career working at Columbus McKinnon in St. Catharines. When she wasn't doting on her grandchildren, Annette loved her trips to the casino with her sister Rita, and watching her favourite sports teams, the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs. Cremation has taken place and the family will receive visitors on Wednesday, September 17 at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (585 Carlton Street) at 9:00 am - 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. "May there be an angel on your shoulder to guide and protect each of you."
